Having a towing mirror is going to give you a wider field of view. Whenever we're towing a trailer like we have here, you can clearly see me in the factory mirror. But that's not where the problem is. The problem is, if we not to change lanes or just move over, maybe we're backing up, something like that, and the problem comes in is we can't see too far over to the side. more

So we do get a rather large mirror with this kit and it does have a convex shape to it, so it's going to be able to show you a lot more than your traditional flat mirrors, like on your normal factory towing mirrors. Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA clamp-on universal towing mirror, on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. Not only is this going to allow you to see those longer loads that you may be hauling, it's also going to widen your view and get rid of some of those blind spots that your factory mirrors may not be able to show you. It's going to give you peace of mind going down the road and on top of that, keep everybody safe.So we are going to get one big mirror that comes with this kit, and it's going to be able to swivel 360 degrees around this ball in the back and also tilt right left and up and down just to accommodate for whatever you may be hauling.So we are going to be able to fold this in just as we were, if we didn't have these installed and it's going to do what we need, which is cut down on that vehicle width.So these are not going to have any straps that strap it to your mirror. It's going to clamp on right on the top edge of your factory mirror. It does have some softer bumpers on the bottom, so it's going to protect your mirrors as well. more

Speaker 1: Today, on the 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Cipa universal clamp-on towing mirror. Here at the back of our trailer, you can see we have plenty of visibility in our factory mirror, but if I step outside, you lose that visibility in your factory mirror, but gain it in your towing mirror. Now, if we had our mirror in the vertical position, this would be your line of sight, however, we have our mirror in the horizontal position, which is going to extend our field of view. As you can see where I'm standing here, at the corner of this trailer, it's about, approximately a lane and a half over.This is what our mirror looks like when it's installed. The bar, made out of a sturdy, steel construction. The mirror housing and the clamp are going to be constructed of a durable plastic that's going to resist UV rays and hold up to all weather conditions. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be doing a test fit on the K-Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. It offers a wild field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, or park, while towing a trailer. The mirror can be adjusted to any angle, left or right, even up and down. By simply removing the screw in the back you can pull the mirror out, and rotate it vertical. It's not going to interfere with the operation of our factory mirror, and we can still fold it in. The mirror itself measures 7 3/4" long, and 5 1/8" wide. I'm here on the passenger side of the Grand Caravan, and to begin our test fit we'll first need to make sure that the tabs are all the way out like this, ready to receive the housing of the mirror. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be doing a test fit on the Sepa Universal Bar towing mirror, part number CM11980. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass or park while towing a trailer. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees and can be adjusted to any angle. The rod can be adjusted out to our towing needs. Just simply loosen up this nut here, set it to the desired location, and then tighten it back up. By loosening this thumb screw back here we can adjust the mirror anywhere along the bar. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test fit of the CIPA Clip-on Towing Mirror, part number 7070. It's going to offer us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us safely and easily change lanes, pass or park while towing a trailer. The mirror can be rotated three hundred and sixty degrees and can be adjusted to any angle. It's not going to interfere with the operation of our factory mirror and we can still fold it in. The mirror itself measures seven inches long by five inches wide. I'm here on the passengers side of my Grand Caravan and to begin our test fit, what we want to do, is we want to take these clips here and we want to make sure that they clip on to the inside of the housing of our factory mirror. more

Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be taking a look at the CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. As you can see, this offers us a wide field of view in order to help us safely and easily change lanes, pass, or park while pulling a trailer. You can see me in the outer portion of the mirror, but if I step to my right, you can see me in the larger mirror. This mirror is called the dual-view because in the mirror it's got two separate sections. You got your main section here, then out here's for helping you see a little bit further out for when changing lanes. With the tow mirror installed it does not interfere with our use of the factory mirror at all. more
